I am happy to announce that I am 50% complete with my data entry project and 5 months ahead of schedual!! WOOOOO!!! The last 50% will take about 3 more weeks, it's the actual entry part of it all so my wrists are going to be feeling it. The first 50% was all the research and collecting of data, now all I have to do is wait for the GIS guy to come in and add the polygons I need. After he's done (should take him a day or two at the most, it's mostly point and click with the way he has it set up but he's the only one allowed to edit the layer) I get my huge pile of papers back and get to typing! So 3 about 3 weeks, 5 at the most which still puts me 4 months ahead of the deadline! Tonight! We celebrate! Current Mood: July 16th, 2006: Weekend wrap up Not much to this weekend. Ran some errands, trolled freecycle for some stuff and cleaned out the van. The thing runs awesome now, I'm not too afraid to drive it thinking it's going to blow up on me. The ride is a bit bumpy but that's due to the shocks needing to be replaced. Next on the agenda for the van though is an oil change and replacing the rear tires. If I manage to somehow come into a large amount of money or roll a hobo who turns out to be a millionare play boy trying to escape his own fame to get a feel for the criminal underbelly, then I want to get the AC system replaced. It was 110 almost all day today, last time I checked the weather about an hour ago it was 103. Blah, stupid heat. I miss the cold nights in Monterey, I know I'm going to miss Christmas time around there. The way the air was so cold and crisp, the general feeling of joy. I may have to go back just for Christmas. Not much to report in wow. Took it easy this weekend and patrolled the AH for some underpriced stuff. Didn't really find anything so I farmed some vibrant plumes on the horde side to help Anaxi get a neck piece she needs (Yay more epix!) Some people raid for epix, they're epic raiders..me..I'm an epic shopper! Do I *have* to go to work tomorrow?*sigh* Current Location: Finishing up a game of chess Current Mood: July 14th, 2006: Long Friday morning entry I’m supposed to get the van back today, I called yesterday and apparently it was almost finished. I got a promise that it would be ready by lunch time today, but the way promises go we’ll see. I’m not sure how I’m going to get it without going all the way home, waiting for Mike then running out there to get the car then dropping off the rental. Maybe I can con someone around here to give me lift over there once it’s ready. So far not a bad day for a Friday. ( More WoW ) Hope everyone has a safe and happy Friday! Current Mood: July 13th, 2006: Almost Friday... I'm supposed to be getting my van back today, hopefully anyway. Which means I must bid adue to the little rental I've been enjoying for the past week. It really was a nice car, I've never heard of them but then again I really don't keep up. It was a blue(more like pimp purple) Chevy HHR and probably the smoothest drives I've had since the Xterra (R.I.P.) Tried playing WoW last night, but wasn't into it. Found the paladin from the last episode of "Anaxi and the Paladin." Turns out he's a pretty ok guy for a stinky paladin. We discussed the various pitfalls of the AV and his funny looking helm. We parted ways and we both commented on how we would enjoy killing the other later. Silly paladins. I'm bored. I've been working on a massive data entry project at work and I'm just about done. I'm happy about it, but kinda bummed since it's almost over. There's not much to do around the house either, and it takes money to have a good time around here. Man, when did my life get so dull again? Current Mood: July 11th, 2006: WW So it seems I’ve got very little to talk about right now that isn’t WoW or..an…”other” subject really. Right now that’s all I’m pretty much thinking about. ( In WoW ) ( Ladina’s Overheard-In-The-Office Theater ) EDIT: Oh, what does everyone think of the new "plus" option that LJ now has? I know I should just up and pay for it, but this new free thing intreges me. I'm just worried that the ads are going to be plastered all over the place. Anyone know someone who has this option enabled so I can check it out? Current Mood: July 10th, 2006: A rather long entry Another WoW post? Geeze, don’t I talk about anything else anymore? ( A cloak well made and Mara-done! ) ( Wow! A non WoW cut?! ) Current Mood: July 8th, 2006: More WoW from last night. ( Anaxi and the Paladin ) EDIT: Does anyone know someone who can put together a Hide of the Wild? Current Mood: July 7th, 2006: Quick WoW update! Ok first to the score board! Still need: 14x Arcanite Bar 10x Dark Iron Bar 2x Skin of Shadow Have: 1x Arcanite Bar 20x Essence of Undeath 20x Dark Rune 10x Devilsaur Leather I picked up the last two Dark Runes tonight as well as the first of many expensive Arcanite bars. I got that one for 35g, put a nice dent into my limited gold amount but such is the cost of power. In other WoW news, I got a a Royal seal of Eldre'Thalas (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.h Current Mood: July 6th, 2006July 5th, 2006July 4th, 2006: blah Today has sucked and now I've got to head out and probably won't be back for another 3 hours. I hope I'm wrong. I thought I would be able to spend a nice day off in WoW and not have to worry about anything. Screw me if I ever get so lucky though. The only good news so far today is that I was able to pick up 12 Dark Runes and 17 Essence of Undeath. All I really wanted to do was sit and play WoW today... Current Mood: July 3rd, 2006: Weekend and WoW Happy Monday everyone! Well ok not really, I know a lot of you are at work but some of you have the day off as well. To those not working, I hate you. To those of you who are, soon brothers..our time will come soon. So I’m here and I’m the only one here, in mess that was the last three days I had completely forgot that in the whole building that there were probably only going to be about 3 people working today. I should have shown up in my PJs. The last three days have been an utter mess. Friday my van broke down, since the death of the little blue car it was our only form of transportation. After struggling to get to the auto shop on Friday I got home and resigned myself to the fact that July was indeed going to be a crappy month. Saturday I get the bad news about the van. The torque converter in the transmission is gone and will require a huge repair with huge bill and a huge wait time to get it done. I’m still not sure how I’m going to pull that off but it needs to be taken care of. I spent most of the day figuring out how to get into work today and feeling pretty beat. ( WoW ) EDIT: Dear creepy lab guy, Yes they are, no you may not. Die in a fire, Ladina Current Mood: June 30th, 2006: Simple request.. Ok universe, let's make a deal. Let me get through this day and back home in one piece and I swear the next time some evil mastermind plots to destroy you, I'll do something about it. When I got to work today my car madethis shuttering motion as I pulled into my parking space. I'm really really really hoping it wasa nothing, and is certainly not my transmision going out on me*sigh* So what do you say? Deal? Just give me one more good weekend... EDIT: The universe sucks. I swear if my car is all screwed up I'm going to scream. Current Mood: June 27th, 2006: WoW Entry I want to raid. A recent post on FO has awaken in me a desire to go out and grab some of the proverbial “phat loot.” I don’t know what character I’ll be doing this with though. I want to raid with something I’ll enjoy and something where I’m useful rather than a hinderance. There’s my troll rogue who is quickly approaching 60. Horde side raids seem highly unlikely at this point since we have trouble scraping up 5 people let alone 40. It looks like the alliance side it is for now then. I’ve got my 60 Night Elf Priestess. Everyone like’s priests, well played priests anyway. So that kind of puts her on the back burner. I’ve got a few more alliance side characters in the high 20s to low 30s that I can scoot up the ladder in no time. Ok so the mage may take longer than the warrior and other rogue but she’s there. I’m thinking of using the rogue, I have fun playing rogues and I’m not too shabby at it either. I think I would go swords or daggers with this rogue, I’ve already done maces with my troll. Decisions, decisions. Hopefully I can enlist the help of a certain warrior to help twink my chosen character through an instance or two. That would probably make the progression go a lot faster. We shall see though. The only problems now are finding a spot on a raid and finding the time. I have kind of lost touch with both NC and SSB. I imagine they’ve moved on to some of the bigger raiding areas, SSB more than NC I’m sure since NC seems to have a rotating crop of new people which keeps interest alive in those areas. Hopefully I can just plug myself back in and get going again. Now, time. Gah, this is one thing I wish I had more of. If they still schedule raids that would be pretty convenient. Maybe I can try to make some time around them, time to find that GoG web site again. Current Mood: June 26th, 2006: It's official... According to the latest meme going around (The Seven Deadly Sins Quiz) I'm a greedy slut. Now all of you give it up...yeah that's right...ALL of it.*grin* Current Mood: June 24th, 2006: Today in 60 seconds. Got up early, paid a ton of bills. Didn't get anything good in the mail. Had an awesome lunch with farm freash eggs! (where there's a chicken farm around here I'm not sure I want to know. Headed out to Pahrump to go for a drive and buy fireworks for coworkers. Find fireworks superstore and spend hours in there and realizing this is a pyromaniac's wet dream. Spent over $300 of someone else's money getting said fireworks. Sitting around in the desert in 113 degree temps waiting for the car to cool down after overheating. Getting home to a home that's cooled to 60 degrees. Peeling off clothes and realizing $300 worth of fireworks is a crap load of explosives. Dinner. Now relaxing in bed. ahh..what a day. Current Mood: June 22nd, 2006: A day off So I'm sitting at home today. My boss told me to just go ahead and pack it in since there was nothing but meetings today and I'm ahead on my projects. I didn't get away completely free, I'll have to make up the time I took off today but that's no big deal. Some of the guys are comming in to work on Saturday so I think I might show up and do some time then. Right now though, I shall enjoy the nice quiet house and take a really hot, relaxing bubble bath then find something yummy for lunch and maybe jump into WoW for a bit. I'm glad I've got this day to myself after the past few problematic days. Especially after trying to track down the dread pirate Soma... Current Mood: |
